  • Christina Mastropietro, DVM, Practicing Partner


    Dr. Christina Mastropietro was raised in the mountains of North Georgia.  She is a graduate of the University of West Georgia with a degree in Biology.  She then went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated from Veterinary School in 2010.   Dr. Mastropietro is interested in soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and oncology.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. 

    Dr. Mastropietro is fluent in Spanish and welcomes all Spanish speaking clients to Stagecoach Pet Hospital. 

    Dr. Mastropietro resides in Killeen with her husband Anthony, an army pilot.  Her pets include a Paso Fino mare named Contessa and a French bulldog named Lou. 

    Dr. Mastropietro enjoys being a foodie with her husband and also traveling the United States.  She also can be found participating in triathlons and Iron Man competitions.

  • David Smonko, DVM


    Dr. David Smonko grew up in Killeen and is a 1990 graduate of Killeen High School. He received his B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 1995 and his D.V.M from Oklahoma State University in 2004. Dr. Smonko joined the staff at Killeen Veterinary Clinic in June of 2005. Dr. Smonko's primary interests include dermatology, cytology, preventative medicine and internal medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the North Central Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

    Dr. Smonko and his wife Kristie live in Harker Heights with their two boys Wade and Justin. Dr. Smonko enjoys the outdoors and loves to hunt, fish and ride his Harley.

  • Twila

    Practice Manager/Technician

    Twila joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in April 2016. She is originally from Salado, Texas where she grew up with a love for animals. She started her career as a nurse but soon realized she was working on the wrong species so in 1983 she started in the veterinary field, beginning with large and small animals. She worked with cats, dogs, horses and cattle for several years while learning about exotics and wildlife rehabilitation. This lead to an opportunity working at the Ft. Worth Zoo with the exotics. After 5 years in the zoo setting, Twila decided a medical setting with small animals was what she preferred the most. Twila remains very passionate about animal rehabilitation but found her perfect place at Stagecoach Pet Hospital.

    Twila has been happily married with 3 beautiful children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Her 4 legged children consists of 2 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, 3 pigs, a fish, 1 bearded dragon and whatever special needs animal the Lord blesses her with at the time.

  • Nia

    Lead Receptionist

    Nia joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital as a Veterinary Technician in July of 2016 after moving from Melbourne, Florida. She has worked as a zoo keeper at a wilderness walk in Hayward, Wisconsin and has been in the veterinary field for 10 years.  Nia finished school in 2006. In her spare time, Nia likes to spend time with her two crazy dogs, Bandit, a 9 year old German Shepard Mix and Sasha, a 10 year old Siberian Husky.

  • Breshelle

    Technician

    Breshelle joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in January 2016 as an intern from her high school program.  She graduated from Ellison High School in June 2016 and hopes to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Breshelle comes from a military family and was born in Colorado Springs but has lived in Texas for 17 years. Her pet family includes 2 Chihuahuas and 1 Doberman mix.

  • Kristi

    Technician

    Kristi joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital as a technician in February 2017.  She has worked in the veterinary field for about 8 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else!  She moved to Texas in October of 2015 with her husband and two dogs Max and Dee.  Since moving to Texas she has expanded her four-legged family to include a German Shepherd named Pepper Potts.  In her spare time, she likes spending time with her husband, BBQing, and watching football, Roll Tide!!!

  • Keisha

    Technician

    Keisha started at Stagecoach Pet Hospital in June 2017 as a Veterinary Technician. She moved to Killeen, TX from New York City two years ago and has not looked back since. After receiving her veterinary assistant certification at Central Texas College in October of 2015, she began volunteering at Texas Humane Heroes to gain more experience with animals. In June of 2016, Keisha began working as a technician at Banfield Pet Hospital where she developed her love in the veterinary field. She continues to volunteer in her free time and enjoys living an active lifestyle. Keisha’s fur family consists of her Siberian Husky, Solomon.

  • Staci

    Kennels/Technician

    Staci joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in June of 2017 as a kennels/technician. She was born on Fort Hood, but has lived in many places such as Washington, Michigan and Germany, where her little brother was born. Staci and her family moved back to Killeen in 1997. Staci has a Bachelor’s of Animal Science with an emphasis in pre-vet and a minor in biology from Tarleton State University.  She has experience in working with animals, and her dream is to become a large and small animal veterinarian. Staci enjoys spending time with her husband and four-legged children which consist of five cats, three dogs, and a bearded dragon named Yoda.

  • Anastasia

    Technician

    Anastasia joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in July of 2017 as a technician. She was born and raised in Killeen, Texas. Anastasia graduated from Harker Heights High School in June of 2016. She has been volunteering since 2015 for her veterinary program. Anastasia is currently enrolled at Central Texas College, and hopes to pursue the veterinary medicine field at A&M University. During her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, watching movies and spending time with her two sweet cats, Tiger and Angel.

  • Kara

    Technician

    Kara joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in September of 2017 as a technician. She was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. Kara graduated Pina Medical Insitute in Mesa, Arizona in July of 2017. She moved to Texas with husband, after graduating tech school. She enjoys spending time with her two cats, panda and winston, and her dog, Minnie.

    Denise joined Stagecoach Pet Hospital in October of 2017, after relocating to Texas from Reno, Nevada.  She has been in the veterinary field for the past 20 years. She has experience with large animals, small animals, and even exotics. Denise has 4 daughters, 3 grandchildren, and multiple fur babies.

  • Zoë

    Receptionist

    Zoë was born and raised in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, PA.  She grew up with 2 Shi Tzu’s, Shelby and Toby and a cat named Marmalade.  Zoë was led to Killeen by her father a 23 year Army Vet, where she met her husband Corey.  Zoë and Corey’s mutual love of animals brought them together. They make their home in Killeen and look forward to adding multiple fur babies to their family in the years to come.

    Receptionist

    Samantha joined the SPH Family in August of 2017.  She was born in Iowa and lived as an Army Brat in Alaska. Then in 1994 she rode The Alaskan Highway and didn’t stop until she got all the way to Texas.  Samantha lives in Killeen with her husband Patrick. Her fur babies consist of two mini daschunds named Daisy and Duke, and one really bad Bassett Hound named Flash.

    Loving animals all her life led her to working at veterinary hospitals since 2015. Growing up she enjoyed playing volleyball and softball.  After high school she went to school for cosmetology and did hair for eleven years. 

    Samantha still likes sports but nowadays it’s watching them.  She loves camping, traveling and trying new things.

  • Dr. Brad Buckley

    Brad Buckley, DVM, Managing Partner


    Dr. Buckley received a B.S. in Veterinary Science (Magna Cum Laude) in 1989 and a D.V.M. (Magna Cum Laude) in 1993 from Texas A&M University. Dr. Buckley provides a wide-range of professional services to his clients and patients with an emphasis on internal medicine and ultrasonography. Dr. Buckley provides a strong belief in service to one's community, and is a former member of the Killeen I.S.D. Board of Trustees, a past Chairman of the Board of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, and a current board member of the Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children. In his spare time he enjoys raising, training and showing cutting horses.

  • Dr. Logan Beene

    Logan Beene, DVM, Managing Partner


    Dr. Beene was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He attended undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, and then received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 1993. Dr. Beene performed his externship with the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, and worked with the Highland Park Animal Hospital, Park Cities Animal Clinic, Lakewood Animal Hospital, and Dallas Veterinary Emergency Clinic, all before and during veterinary school. Dr. Beene is included in the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, a group that maintains high standards in the practice of veterinary medicine through the participation in continuing education and postgraduate studies.

  • Dr. Linda Hankins

    Linda Hankins, DVM, Managing Partner


    Dr. Hankins received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A&M University in 1994. After graduating, she spent three years at the Animal clinic in Galveston. Dr. Hankins is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, North Central Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Board Member, and After Hours Veterinary Services. Dr. Hankins enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing cards.

  • Keri Jones, DVM, Managing Partner


    Dr. Keri Hill Jones graduated from Texas A&M University with an Animal Science degree (Magna Cum Laude) in 2001 and Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine (Summa Cum Laude) in 2005. Dr. Jones joined the staff at Killeen Veterinary Clinic in June of 2007 and became managing partner in April 2015. Her interests include surgery, internal medicine, and client education. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the North Central Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Jones served an integral part in the startup of the Animal Emergency Center or Temple-Belton.


    Dr. Jones has been married to her husband Robert since 2003, and have two children, daughter Adison and son Asher. Their other children Cash, the one-eyed Yorkie and Chewy, the blind Old English Bulldog. In her free time Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with family and friends, yard work, and watching sports, especially Aggie football.
